Don’t Drive Drowsy
Stay Alert with No Caffeine or Stimulants
1 In 5 Accidents Are Caused By Drowsy Driving
“Drowsiness is similar to alcohol in how it compromises driving ability by reducing alertness and attentiveness, delaying reaction times, and hindering decision-making skills.”

Dr. Heimlich’s Inspiration
My Uncle, Dr. Henry Heimlich, creator of the Heimlich Maneuver, inspired the creation of “Alert Drops.”
Years ago, I was having considerable trouble staying awake while driving home after long 15 hr workdays. In fact, I actually fell asleep at the wheel and almost killed myself. Dr. Heimlich recommended keeping a lemon in the car and whenever I started to feel drowsy to simply bite into it. He explained how the natural, citric acid and sour taste from a lemon stimulates the tongue’s trigeminal nerve alerting the brain to wake-up, your own body’s adrenalin naturally kicked in from a reflex action. It instantly worked, making me naturally alert and awake at the wheel without having any unnecessary stimulants, bad ingredients, etc, in my system. Actually, nothing even entered my system… again, my immediate alertness was caused by my own body’s natural reflex action that stimulated natural adrenalin. I never had a drowsy driving problem again. Dr. Heimlich’s knowledge saved my life.
Recently, research studies have found that there are over 168 million drowsy drivers at the wheel of their car with one out of five admitting to falling asleep, a catastrophic problem causing more accidents and deaths then alcohol and drugs combined. Motivated by Dr. Heimlich and my own experience, my business partner, Joanna Connell, and I thought “Why can’t we re-create a natural lemon into a natural spray that will have the same, natural, Alert Result as biting into one?” We moved forward by putting together a terrific, scientific team and “Alert Drops” was created, a natural, simple spray on the tongue that works instantly and safely, your body’s own, natural adrenalin alerting the brain to wake-up with no stimulants of any kind., exactly the same as a natural lemon.
Alert Drops is Proven Science-Doctor Approved & Recommended. This year alone, Alert Drops received the 2016 prestigious City Of Angels Award for a break-through product that benefits society and received honors from the US Congress, State Senate, and the City Of Los Angeles.
”Alert Drops, “ will save numerous lives. I thank Dr. Heimlich for being the inspiration for the most important life saving product since his Heimlich Maneuver.
The Science Behind Alert Drops
Taste begins in the mouth, where each of us has between 5,000 and 10,000 taste buds.
Most taste buds are located within the tongue’s small, visible bumps — or papillae — but some can be found in other areas of the mouth and throat.
Each taste bud contains 50 to 100 taste receptor cells — brain cells called neurons that transmit taste information.
When we eat a strawberry, for example, saliva dissolves the fruit’s chemicals, which then enter into the central pores of the taste buds and bind to the taste cells.
The cells quickly send “sweet” and “sour” taste messages from these chemicals through nerve fibers to the brain, where they eventually reach the sensory cortex.
However, the flavor of “strawberry” requires the addition of information gained through smell.
Neurons, connected to the lingual nerve, also transmit specific tastes that give the brain/body an instant wake up call. Capsaicin. a carbon based molecule produced by pepper plants, and Citric/Ascorbic Acid, a molecule found in sour citrus fruit, alert the brain through sensory stimuli.

I have recently had the opportunity to test “Alert Drops” which is a natural formulation that does not contain caffeine, niacin, sugar, or any stimulant. Rather, just like my hot pepper, “Alert Drops” utilizes the science of sensory connection between the tongue and the brain’s alert center. I find that just a couple of drops on my tongue, when feeling drowsy, immediately makes me alert and awake. Based on sound science and my own experience, I believe that “Alert Drops” can stop unnecessary tragedies and save lives.

As a pharmacist, I am often asked what can be taken, that is “not a drug,” to counteract drowsiness? Until recently, I have had little to offer from an over-the-counter perspective because the products available contain caffeine, niacin, sugar, or a decongestant-type stimulant. Unfortunately, these products have the potential to cause harm due to overuse, rebound effect, drug interactions, or they may be contraindicated with certain medical conditions such as diabetes. I am, therefore, pleased to recommend “Alert Drops”
